Within the framework of the system of free distribution of textbooks (Article 15 of Law 3549 “Reform of the institutional framework for the structure and operation of Higher Education Institutions”), one tenth (1/10) of the total number of each textbook distributed at the University of Ioannina is allocated by the State to its Library, unless there is already a sufficient number of copies there.

The student textbooks acquired by the Library and Information Center of the University with the above procedure are included in the computerized catalogue of the Library.

The student textbooks are organized in a special collection on the ground floor of the Library that includes the Student Collection. The books are borrowed only to students who, due to their special status, are not entitled to student textbooks. To locate student textbooks you can use the Library catalogue.
