Information Literacy

In the Alexandria Declaration on Information Literacy and Lifelong Learning, UNESCO and IFLA define the information literacy  as: ‘the set of skills in identifying information needs and identifying, evaluating, using and creating information within cultural and social contexts’ (The Alexandria Proclamation on Information Literacy and Lifelong Learning, 2005).

The Library for the development of Information Literacy skills offers seminars personalized & group, on-site & online, scheduled & upon request, with the aim of developing skills for:

  • use of the Library (on-site services / online catalogues-resources)
  • Scientific information search strategy
  • Information evaluation
  • Utilization of information
  • developing/publishing (accessible) content
