Printed Periodicals

The printed material of the Central Library is distributed on the inner/intermediate floors (2nd and 4th floor) of the Library building. The Foreign language journal titles are arranged alphabetically by thematic unit according to the international classification Dewey. Thus, on the 2nd and 4th floor there are foreign language journals concerning the following topics:

GENERAL, COMPUTER SCIENCE, PHILOSOPHY, PSYCHOLOGY, RELIGION, SOCIAL SCIENCES, ECONOMIC SCIENCES, EDUCATION, FOLKLORE, LANGUAGE, MATHEMATICS, PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY, BIOLOGY, MEDICINE, ENGINEERING AND MATERIALS, ARTS, LITERATURE AND RHETORIC, HISTORY AND GEOGRAPHY.

The Greek-language journals, due to their smaller volume, are arranged alphabetically, regardless of subject area, on the 4th floor of the Library in bookstacks 60 to 67.

The closed bookstacks of the Central Library host about 600 titles of rare periodicals as well as 140 titles of old and rare newspapers.
The material of the closed collections is accessible, after consultation with the Library staff.
