The University of Ioannina (uoi) supports the Open Science movement; therefore the University of Ioannina provides in Open Access status its research publications through its Institutional Repository “OLYMPIAS“. However some of them are freely accessible only through the university network. At the same time, UOI promotes other Open Access Repositories, such as AMELib – the accessible multimodal electronic library for print-disabled readers – and Kallipos -another action of the Hellenic Academic Libraries Link (HEAL-Link) for Open Academic Editions. However, all beneficiaries must find and respect the terms of use, which are set out in the relevant licences.

Only authenticated members of the University of Ioannina have free access to the electronic resources, whose access is the subject of a commercial or other agreement (see subscriptions, one-time purchase or donation).

The University of Ioannina Library & Information Centre is not responsible for the content of the electronic resources.

Under no circumstances the systematic downloading of electronic resources is not allowed, and only individual use and non-commercial use of these resources are permitted.
