The Library and Information Center of the University of Ioannina
readjusts its operation from 01-02-2022 according to the decision
of the Rector’s Council (1713/28-01-2022).

• the opening hours of the Central Library are as follows:
  08:00 a.m. – 18:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.
• The premises and equipment of the Library (reading rooms, bookstacks, computer laboratories, photocopiers) are accessible by physical presence.
• the number of users in the Library must not exceed 350 persons (200 study places and 150 passing users to search for material and borrow). The study sites to be used have been designated in accordance with the instructions for keeping the required distances.
• In order to comply with the measures, a system of automatic counting of incoming and outgoing users is implemented. The counting is done by scanning the barcode of the student / academic identity card (pass) or the library card at the service desk.
• The borrowing of material takes place in person. The loan form will only be used to serve vulnerable groups and for remote lending.
• Returns of borrowed books will continue to be made by depositing them in the bookdropbox located at the entrance of the Library. Returned books will be available on shelves again the next business day.
