The Accessibility and Social Support Unit for Students with Disabilities and Students of Vulnerable Social Groups (EKO) of the University of Ioannina was established to fill a gap that existed at the University of Ioannina for equal access to infrastructure and educational processes. In this way, means and tools are provided for everyone and especially for students who for various reasons face difficulties in their studies.

The mission of the Unit is to create a favorable educational environment at the University of Ioannina to support students who, for medical or other social reasons, face functional and educational difficulties in completing their studies.
